The 5G Connected Automated Logistics (5G CAL) project partners are getting very excited for the UK5G Showcase!

The attendees from 5G CAL are:

5G CAL has three presention slots on stages:

  • Liz St Louis, Assistant Direction of Smart Cities for Sunderland City Council will be presenting on Transport and Logistics, 14:00-15:00 on 22nd March in the Ashtead Suite. She will be on a panel examining how 5G can enhance existing and new modes of transportation and improve logistics efficiency through the adoption of 5G, and ask which use cases are ready for scaling.
  • Richard Barrington, Principle Consultant and Head of Business Development for Perform Green will be speaking 15:10 to 16:15 on the 22nd March on the lessons learnt and forward opportunities panel in the Affinity Suite, reflecting on the UK’s 5G Testbeds & Trials Programme, with key findings and insights from 5G CAL.
  • Becki Clark, Sustainability Consultant for Perform Green, will be speaking at a panel in the Affinity Suite from 14:00-15:00 on 23rd The panel will look at mobile networks nad environmental sustainability, providing insights, examine the issues arising from UK 5G trials, consider specific approaches to lower the RAN carbon budget and debate with the panel whether mobile networks are part of the problem, the solution, or both.

On both days, we will be on Stand 14, showcases footage from the testing to date, a view of the NDAC platform and a view of the Hitachi Visualisation Suite portal which shows the smart camera views. We might rope you in as well – Newcastle University will also be performing stakeholder analysis surveys to feed into our report assessing people’s views on the autonomous technology! Come visit us!
