Perform Green was founded to enact real, positive, long-lasting change for society. That’s why our values are important to us. They help define who we are and play a big part in the way we approach our work.

We believe in acting on our values outside of our day-to-day business too. We want to do whatever we can to create change for the better.

The number of people who are homeless continues to rise across the UK and charities are doing everything they can to provide much-needed support.

In December 2016, Perform Green made a donation to two charities over the Christmas period. We did the same again last month to show our support for two charities that are doing incredibly valuable work in challenging circumstances.

1625 Independent People

1625 Independent People was one of the charities we donated to previously and we are delighted to support them again.

Based in Bristol, the team there have been working 16–25 year olds to reboot their lives since 1983. They help with housing, life skills, confidence-building, education, training, jobs and finding fun activities. They also run a mentoring scheme and are always on the lookout for inspiring mentors.

We really believe in the work that 1625 Independent People do and we look forward to supporting them and seeing them do well in 2018. If you’d like to get involved, you can learn more about mentoring for 1625 Independent People on their website.

Cathedral Archer Project

The Cathedral Archer Project (CAP) is a Sheffield charity that supports homeless people as they get back on their feet and live a better life. They help them become independent, tackle setbacks, identify and change negative behaviour, and improve their general wellbeing.

CAP started out in the 1980s as an informal place for people to gather, get shelter and have breakfast made by the Cathedral congregation. In 2007, it moved to its own space and was able to provide a much broader range of important services. For the CAP team, it’s all about trust. They believe that getting to know a person helps them seek out support and address the issues that they face.

Everyone here at Perform Green is pleased to support CAD. We hope our donation helps them continue their work as they make a real impact on people’s lives. If you’d like to show your support too, check out the CAD website, which features a range of ways that you can get involved.
