Kate Aulman

Consultant

Kate is a motivated and highly professional GIS Consultant with over 19 years experience.  A confident communicator who achieves high standards through initiative, drive and outstanding attention to detail, Kate is organised and practical while maintaining a cheerful approach to life.

Her passion for GIS began in her BSc Geography and was consolidated through a PGDip in GIS. Since then Kate has worked in the energy, telecoms, environmental planning, regional government and defence sectors. Her roles have been wide ranging and include the management and provision of GIS services for a regional planning body and teaching and training GIS and cartography to soldiers in the MoD.

More recently, Kate has been working as freelance GIS Consultant.  She has assisted in the production of several Green Infrastructure (GI) strategies and Habitats Regulations Assessments for local government clients such as Birmingham City Council, Cannock Chase District Council, Bradford City Council and the Partnership for Urban South Hampshire.  At present, she provides GIS services to the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA), where she is responsible for data management, modelling, analyses and mapping of a wide range of topic areas, from ecology to infrastructure to planning.
