Perform Green was commissioned to support the compilation, editing and submission of the Sheffield & Rotherham 5G Urban Connected Communities bid (for £50m – £100m investment from DCMS).
The Perform Green team provided specialist advisory input on the bid, engaged with a large group of stakeholders to provide input to the bid, and, in partnership with Sheffield City Council co-edited and finalised the bid submission.
Stakeholder engagement was key:
In order to compile this complex bid in the very short time window available, we needed to get technical and narrative input from specialists from across the city region. This was achieved through a combination of:
- Stakeholder events (kick-off, collaborative bid review)
- Face to face meetings and interviews
- Remote collaboration on specific bid elements
- Progress review/feedback phone calls
- Regular email updates to contributors
The wide input was facilitated through the use of agile collaboration tools such as Trello and Google Docs.
