Jo worked in central Government for over twenty years, mainly at the Cabinet Office, and was a senior civil servant for over ten years. She was Head of Communications for the BSE Inquiry and worked in senior policy, strategy and legislation roles. She spent a number of years creating and delivering the government’s ICT strategy and also led the policy for shared corporate services across government. She has worked closely with many ministers over the years, including Lord Peter Mandelson and Sir Oliver Letwin, and spent time in the Prime Minister’s press office.
Jo specialisms include understanding and engaging with Whitehall. She has an expertise in working across organizations, having spent much of her career building bridges between Whitehall departments to achieve change. She also gained private sector experience as a senior manager at Deloitte Consulting. Jo is a published writer on the civil service and Brexit. She is a Non-Exec Director for the Government Internal Audit Agency and the Institute for Osteopathy.
