We think podcasts are a great way to get across a lot of information and have interesting conversations. Our team has a huge amount of expertise and experience to share, so we’ve decided to launch our very own show – the Perform Green Podcast.

We’re aiming to publish a new episode every couple of weeks and feature a wide range of associates from across our team. If you’re interested in using digital technology to improve lives and change things for the better, this is the podcast for you.

An introduction to smart societies

In this first episode of the Perform Green Podcast, Iain Broome talks to founder of Perform Green, Barney Smith. The discussion is an excellent primer for anyone with an interest in or who wants to know more about the concept of a smart society.

This is one of our key areas of work and Barney has led award-winning smart society projects, notably the recent Smart Operations Centre for Bristol City Council. In this launch episode of the Perform Green Podcast, you can hear Barney talk about what the term smart society means, how it can change lives and communities, and some of the challenges involved.

How to subscribe

All episodes of the podcast will be published right here on our website and you can listen now in the player above. But you can also have new episodes come to you by subscribing to the show in your podcast app of choice.

If you’re new to podcasts, the most popular way to subscribe is through Apple Podcasts and iTunes. But we also recommend Overcast (iOS) and Pocket Casts (Android). Get in touch if you have any problems.
