Perform Green, appointed as Smart City Advisors to SCC in 2019, are delighted our client has received further national recognition for their use of Digital technologies to transform operations and services to benefit the citizens of Sunderland.
This follows on from Sunderland being named Smart City of the Year 2020 by Digital Leaders.
This award award is testament to the leadership, strategy and delivery of the whole council working together and using digital technologies to transform a wide range of services for example the pioneering use of sensors and Assistive Technology (AT) in vulnerable people’s homes, ensuring they are safe when living alone.
Perform Green has helped develop the strategy, and business case for a smart city that has secured over £70M of inward investment for advanced connectivity that underpins the digital ambitions of the council. We have also created a digital architectural framework and tool kit to enable every part of the council to take advantage of the benefit this brings and continue to advise and provide assurance on the development of a greener and smarter society.
Accepting the award, Sunderland Council chief executive Patrick Melia said;
“It is fantastic for our council, city and the North East as a whole, to be recognised on a national platform.”
