The Co-operative Councils Innovation Network (CCIN), a national network of 22 local authorities has selected Perform Green and their partners Made Open to join a framework agreement to support innovation in public service delivery.

Founded on the traditions of the co-operative movement, the Co-operative Councils Innovation Network is a collaboration between local authorities committed to transforming the way they work with communities. Their work recognises the need to define a new model for local government built on civic leadership, with councils working in equal partnership with local people to shape and strengthen communities.

As one of just 16 UK suppliers to be selected on this framework, Perform Green and Made Open look forward to helping CCIN councils meet unprecedented challenges facing the public sector and local communities.

CCIN membership is from across the UK including local authorities from the following areas: Bassetlaw, Cardiff, Croydon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Islington, Knowsley, Lambeth, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Norwich, Oldham, Plymouth, Rochdale, Salford, Sandwell, Southampton, Stevenage, Sunderland, and Telford & Wrekin.

The CCIN agreement starts in June 2016 and runs for two years, with a potential 1-year extension. Made Open is the prime contractor.

Perform Green

Toby Rhodes, Innovation and Business Change Director of Perform Green, says: “We are really excited to be partnering with Made Open and look forward to collaborating closely with Made Open and with CCIN Councils to help create significant change.

Partnership

Perform Green was first introduced to Made Open by Growth Accelerator coach Peter McCann. Initially attracted to Made Open’s community development platform, which is being used in the UK and Australia, the two companies have since discovered much more in common. Together, they aim to demonstrate that organisational and community development, supported by a disruptive software-as-a-service platform and design-led processes, has the ability to create inclusive and sustainable economies where all can thrive.

About Made Open

Made Open is a combined service design practice and software-as-a-service platform provider who help governments, organisations and communities to solve problems. They meet this challenge in three ways: designing services that create better experiences for people; implementing ‘Collective Impact’ processes; mobilising people around the exchange of ideas, knowledge, goods and services. Clients include Monmouthshire County Council, Cornwall Council, Bristol City Council, Design Council and Central Coast Council (Tasmania).
