Dejan advises a range of clients across both public and private sectors. His particular focus is the development of open and shared connectivity and data infrastructure to support product innovation and service transformation within complex partnership ecosystems.

Dejan’s most recent work has included the establishment of the 5G Action Learning Network with Connected Places Catapult, development of Digital & Innovation propositions for the Belfast Region City Deal, DCMS’ sponsored 5G Urban Connected Communities project, and expert contribution to the Future Cities Catapult’s Hyperconnected project. Prior to this, he has led UK Smart Cities market strategy for NEC Europe where he established a number of key partnerships, notably with Bristol Is Open and Digital Greenwich. And previous to Smart Cities Dejan has spent a number of years in strategic marketing and engineering roles covering products and services in high-speed optical transmission systems, mobile and wireless networks, and data communications.

Dejan is a Special Interest Champion for CW’s (previously Cambridge Wireless) Smart & Intelligent Cities Group, covering issues such as city platforms, interoperability and the integration of a wide range of technology applications, as well as the need for standards, innovative procurement, and regulation. He holds a Masters degree in Telecommunications from University College London, and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
